Eric T. Poirier
Eric is originally from Waterville, Maine and left the state in 1990 to attend college. In 1995 and 1997 respectively, he earned his Bachelors degree in Education and his Masters degree in Higher Education Administration.
For seven years Eric worked as a college administrator in the areas of residential and judicial affairs. Eric was invited to speak at both national and international symposia about his innovative program designs and management systems. These experiences led to a transition from managing operations in the university setting to trouble shooting for a large international real estate development and property management company with its U.S. corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.
Eric traveled to different properties throughout the United States that were unprofitable due to management issues and re-structured operations to increase owners' return on their investments. Eric's portfolio consisted of over 4,600 units located in five states. As an internal consultant to the owners and trouble-shooter for the company, Eric conducted QA evaluations, designed new systems to address mis-management issues, and trained staff in ways to increase the profit margin.
In 2006, Eric returned home to Waterville and formed Poirier Properties of Maine a full service property management company. Poirier Properties of Maine offers its clients the security of knowing that their property is being professionally managed in a way that protects their entire investment. Eric's proven management system focuses on both the top and bottom lines. His "Active Management" approach strives to maximize revenue (top line) and optimize expenses (bottom line) thus providing maximum profit for real estate investors. Poirier Properties of Maine currently manages over 140 units in the Waterville, Augusta, and Skowhegan areas.
Eric is a member of the Waterville Rotary Club and the Waterville Historical Society.
